Sudoku in the News


Last night the CBS Evening News had a story on Sudoku: Sudoku Addicts Unite. It seems as though there are lots of people sharing my addiction.

    Hi Sally,

    Just checking your blog to see what you're up to. It seems like it might be a long while before things get back to normal in Beaumont.
    Our power went out for 3 hours last night, and again I was tempted to be upset about not watching TV or making a cup of tea. I keep remembering the horrible conditions that people have endured, and continue to endure, because of these hurricanes. My family and I listened to the radio for awhile - we were sad that the Astros lost the World Series - then we went to Dunkin' Donuts for tea. The grocery store was open with about half the amount of lights they usually have - obviously a generator. It was not that much of a crisis.
    I thought of you the other day when my daughter, who is in 9th grade and is taking an honors Geometry course, brought home her "Problems of the Week" assignment: it was a Sudoku puzzle! She thinks it's "fun, but hard!" I told her if she can complete them, maybe she'll grow up to be an engineer like Sally!
