Health Spending for Obesity
Yesterday there was in an article in USA Today, Health spending soars for obesity. The article says that health care for the obese cost $1,244 per person more in 2002 than treating a healthy-weight person. My health insurance plan gives a discount for being a non-smoker. I think it would be a good idea to give an additional discount for being in the healthy weight range.
